Earthwave Media creates media that makes waves for our wild Earth. Collaborating with businesses that are striving to change the tides for our planet, they curate visually captivating narratives that cultivate a dedicated community, foster engagement, and drive sales all while making a positive impact on the planet.

An inspiring collaboration

I have had the absolute pleasure of working with Jessica-Marie to create branding, a website, and custom illustrations for Earthwave Media. Collaborating with Earthwave Media was truly inspiring — so much fun, expansive, and creatively fulfilling. The result is stunning and I’m thrilled to share it with you all.

Logo design and branding

The collaboration began with a creative brief designed to fully understand Earthwave Media’s vision and purpose before moving into the conceptual phase. Our goal was to ensure the branding captured the essence of Earthwave Media, so every decision—whether in logo design, typography, or color palette—was rooted in this core intention.

We drew direct inspiration from nature, reflecting this in the earthy, ‘element’-inspired color palette and the selection of a flowing, innovative typeface that embodies the idea of creating change by ‘making waves’. Our logo is simple and clean, as all effective logos should be, but it’s also rich with meaning. The wave-like shapes in the logo symbolize Earthwave Media’s mission to ‘make waves’. The plant emerging from the water represents growth through change, while the circle embodies community and balance. Additionally, the circle holds another layer of meaning: it symbolizes a ‘video recording’—a nod to the media creation aspect—and is intentionally placed at the top and center to evoke the image of a blooming flower or plant. This illustrates the potential for flourishing when we unite to create positive change and restore balance.

With these design elements in place, I created a branding style tile that includes a mood board, logo, color palette, and typography choices. This will serve as our guide for design decisions, such as those for the website..

Web design and custom illustrations

With a strong branding foundation in place, we launched Earthwave Media online with a custom-designed website. The site seamlessly integrates the company’s brand voice and values, ensuring a cohesive experience for visitors. Our goal was not only to introduce Earthwave Media and its offerings, but also to showcase the company’s past projects through a dedicated portfolio. In addition to this, we incorporated Earthwave Media’s stunning, evocative photography and media throughout the site to bring the brand’s story to life. To further reinforce the brand’s identity, I created custom illustrations for each of Earthwave Media’s core values, as well as for the creative process. These illustrations were crafted to maintain a consistent design style that echoes the brand's earthy, grounded vibe.
