Maman Cacao
Sacred ceremonial cacao brought from different parts of the globe to Canada, with roots anchored in honouring where the cacao comes from, the wisdom the plant holds and emphasizing the importance of devotion, integrity and love.
A purposeful collaboration
I had the honour and privilege of collaborating with Nicole to bring her vision of Maman Cacao to life. From start to finish Maman Cacao’s creation was filled with love, joy, trust, appreciation, and gratitude. The result: magic. It gives me great pleasure to share snippets of that experience with you all.
Logo design and branding
We began the collaboration by exploring the vision ~ Maman Cacao ~ herself. Nicole so eloquently communicated Maman Cacao’s essence. Her love and devotion to Maman Cacao made it a pure joy to work on. With her vision in mind, heart and soul, I created a logo and branding that would begin to embody Maman Cacao’s energy and represent her well as she continues to grow and flourish.
As I’ve shared time and time again, I believe that art created in flow state is a co-creation with universe, and Maman Cacao’s logo was certainly birthed from that co-creation.
Packaging
The next step was to create packaging for the Sacred Ceremonial Cacao offerings. Designs were tailored to each cacao origin whilst ensuring to honour their original packagings as well. Accompanying each order of cacao is a card that holds a heartfelt message from Nicole and a sacred brew recipe.
Web design
We created Maman Cacao’s website, weaving the artistry of 3 women together: Nicole Jones’ beautiful offering, Maryam Southam’s photography capturing its essence, and my designs tying it together with Maman Cacao’s branding. Together, we infused the energy and intention that Maman Cacao deserves to take flight.
Video production
Finally, in collaboration with artist Anthony Imperioli, we created a video of the sacred ceremonial brew process. We poured love and care into every step of the video so that it may carry that energy so integral to the preparation and consumption of ceremonial cacao.
